Dr. Xinyi Yu
Dr. Yu has over
30+ years of experience as a practicing dentist. He was a
dentist in China before immigrating to the U.S in
1988. He graduated from the University of Buffalo School of
Dentistry and served as a faculty member there for seven years.
He and his wife Lisa, whose smiles you will probably encounter in the
office, and daughter and son relocated to sunny Santa Maria in
1996. After spending several years in dental research at
Den-Mat Corp. and working with Dr. Robert Ibsen DDS and Dr. Dave
Oulette
DDS., he decided to open
his own practice. Dr. Yu is very happy to be serving the
Central Coast community and thoroughly enjoys living in sunny Santa
Maria.

Dr. Yu's tremendous clinical skills
and experience stems from his many years of practicing dentistry,
particularly while as a dentist in China due to the extremely large
volume of patients that came into his clinic, and the huge variety of
oral ailments which he has treated. Furthermore, Dr. Yu's
expertise in dental research allows him to integrate the best and most
appropriate
devices, materials and technologies into his practice so that his
patients may receive the best care possible. Dr. Yu has
contributed to and published many papers and articles in dental
journals throughout his years of involvement in dental materials
research.
Dr. Yu has also
lectured at many institutions and conventions world-wide, including
advances in cosmetic dentistry at UCLA, and continues to attend many
seminars and courses in all fields of dentistry in order to be able to
offer a full spectrum of treatment solutions at his practice.
